Damaris Phillips will be the celebrity chef joining us for Cook Around The World in 2019! Damaris will be the Head Judge at the Culinary Improv in Epcot® and the Keynote Speaker at the International Gala and Career Forum. During the Culinary Improv, Damaris will interact and give professional tips to students. While offering her insight, she will also take notes on techniques, skills, and teamwork. At the International Gala and Career Forum, Damaris will speak about her professional journey and how she became a network culinary star.
Damaris Phillips was raised in Louisville, Kentucky where she began cooking at a very young age. Damaris is one of five children. Growing up, she was responsible for cooking dinner for her large family once a week. She graduated from Jefferson Community and Technical College with a degree in culinary arts.
Damaris competed and won season 9 of Food Network Star. Since her big win, she hosted Southern at Heart on Food Network for five seasons. After, Phillips co-hosted The Bobby and Damaris Show on Food Network with her former Food Network Star co-judge Bobby Flay. She then began co-hosting Southern and Hungry with Rutledge Wood on the Cooking Channel.
