Get ready for a brand-new Cook Around The World experience ALL at the Walt Disney World Resort! During the dates of April 21-24 and May 12-15 in 2017, high school students and their teachers will have the opportunity to create their own dishes during Disney’s Hands-On Culinary Improv Competition! Not only will students get to decide what they make, but each group gets to enjoy their dishes following the event! Read below to find out more details about this sizzling experience!
The Cook Around The World experience has a new twist to it! A few months before the event, each group will receive a region of the world from which the students must create a cuisine. Upon arrival at Epcot, each team will design their own banner for their station so they can cook in style and show their team unity! Each team (maximum of 12, minimum of 6 people) will cook a main dish, a side, and a dessert based on what they have already decided upon prior to traveling to Orlando. A grocery store will be provided for each region that will contain the ingredients for their dishes. All tools needed to complete this task will be provided. This is a timed competition so planning, effective communication, and team work is a MUST!
Following the cooking, students will have the chance to enjoy what they prepared. During the Culinary Improv Competition, each team will be judged by Disney professionals where teams will have the opportunity to be named the Cook Around The World Culinary Champion! This exciting event will take place at Epcot’s World Showplace pavilion in World Showcase.
